Wetherdown

There’s a wonderfully happy and inclusive vibe here: staff, volunteers, guests, all getting on with the business of showing what good things happen when we make small changes – because they all add up. The main building is surrounded by 55 acres of gardens, mature trees, restored chalk grassland, a natural burial site and stunning views all the way to the Isle of Wight on a clear day. Buzzards, red kites, butterflies and at least 40 different species of moth will delight birdwatchers and botanists.

Stay in shared rooms in the house, book a single tent pitch, one in the main field, or opt for privacy in a beautiful and secluded yurt. Children can make friends and go free range safely, parents will enjoy a beer by the pizza oven, marshmallows can be toasted over a fire later.

There are courses to enrol on, chickens to visit, a good café and also a heavenly imp called Rachel who lights up the world and everyone she touches.
