You should know
- Some of the bedrooms are bigger than others – so do ask if size matters to you
- The houseplants throughout the place look burgeoning and fecund but they are artificial
- You may hear some traffic noise in some of the bedrooms
Smartened up village inn deep in glorious walking and shooting country on the edge of Cranborne Chase. Don your boots, strike out across fields to Win Green Hill for fabulous views across the Nadder Valley, returning to a cosy room, good seasonal food and Butcombe beers on tap. Close to Salisbury (cathedral) and Shaftesbury (Gold Hill); just 40 minutes from the coast.
