The Experience
This former dairy and cattle shed is one of four self-catering properties in an L-shaped setting. Philip and Suzy run a small organic farm and you have 33 acres of beautiful bird-filled woodland to roam.
The open-plan living area and the bedrooms are all on one level and face a partly-paved gravel area with an outdoor table and chairs. Suzy is an accomplished cook and yoga teacher – ask about yoga holidays with meals provided. Choose vegetarian breakfasts and dinners from a menu or walk to the superb Drunken Duck.
You’re in the Lake District National Park so there are plenty of fells to walk, views to admire and cold wild swimming to enjoy. The medieval market town of Hawkshead and the Beatrix Potter Gallery are a five-minute drive; Ambleside’s tea rooms and shops and Lake Windermere cruises are nearby.
