The Experience

This barn made of Lakeland stone faces out to fields dotted with Shetland sheep, and is part of a cluster of buildings dating from the late 1700s. Take all four self-catering properties and come as a group, with Suzy looking after you.

The spacious, stylish living and dining area has double-height ceilings, a wood-burner and a bedroom next door, plus another upstairs. Basics are in the kitchen and you can stock up in nearby Hawkshead – or opt for Suzy’s delicious vegetarian meals for breakfast or dinner.

Stride the fells, spot wildlife, walk to the Drunken Duck or book yourself onto a yoga or wellbeing retreat here. The Lake District’s attractions are close, such as Ambleside’s tea rooms, shops and cruises on Lake Windermere.
