The Experience

Come for a proper English seaside holiday with sandy beaches, walks on the Coast Path, fish and chips while watching boats on the harbour, ice cream on the way home. The house lends itself perfectly to a big group with an open-plan living space downstairs, a large table for sociable meals and French doors which open onto the garden. Sprawl on a little lawn, sunbathe, have al fresco suppers, hang your towels and wetsuits to air, cleanse gritty toes and paws in an outside shower.

Everyone can join in with the cooking, or sit at the table chopping and chatting – you’ll find a cupboard of basics, tea, biscuits and some pods for the Nespresso machine. Bedrooms (one downstairs) are up a solid wooden staircase – the master with a sea view from the balcony, a twin with a futon, then a sweet single.

It’s a two-minute walk to Constantine Bay Stores for stocking up and five minutes to the beach for an early morning quiet swim.

We think you'll love

  • Being able to walk to the sea, beaches, a shop, the Coast Path, golf club, outdoor pool and padel courts
  • Sitting in the sun-trap garden on a balmy day just listening to the sea and the gulls
  • Coming in winter for moody skies and windy walks then lighting the wood-burner, opening the wine and settling in with a good book

Reviews

What a fabulous place... It is a little quirky, but I can see why they bought it , the house feels light, homely and spacious, a great place for a family holiday. It's in a peaceful location yet within walking distance of one of my favourite beaches in Cornwall, Constantine Bay.

Introducing

Jane Vallings

Jane spent her whole childhood having holidays in Constantine Bay so it was her and Tim's dream to one day have a family house here. Jane is an illustrator who paints house and family commissions in pen and watercolour; Tim, a keen golfer, works for Government Defence Ministries and travels widely, but they both love coming down to Cornwall with their teenaged children and black lab. They hope you enjoy it too..
