The Godolphin

You are very well fed at either the more formal restaurant, Shutters, or at Craby’s Beach Bar and Terrace – there’s a passion in both for supporting local artisan producers so that most is ‘picked, plucked and fished from Cornwall and her shores’. Small plates are served as well as a reassuringly brief menu of mains with an emphasis on fish alongside some pub classics. The bar is a busy place most days but you’ll find some comfy seating if you want to sit with a book or do some work, maybe with a local ale or a cocktail.

Bedrooms are upstairs, apart from two which are reached via a side entrance. Those upstairs either face the sea or the town, some have balconies and all are en suite with Bramley lotions and soaps. You’ll also find a homemade treat and proper coffee pods, or you can go bananas and raid the tempting mini-bar.

Wake to a grand breakfast, locally sourced of course, then head out to explore, swim, surf or paddle.
