The Experience

Even with such high ceilings and large glass windows (this building used to be a hotel) the space still feels cosy and welcoming with underfloor heating and a gas log-effect wood-burner. An enormous sofa is perfect for sociable lolling, the open-plan kitchen is sleek and modern with all the bells and whistles a serious cook could want and there’s a large breakfast bar with stools for joiners in or chatterers.

The icing on the cake is the spacious terrace where you’ll spend most of your time. Views across the water to Polruan are hypnotising – bring binoculars – and you can watch the busy boats in the harbour, some fishing, others cruising or sailing. You also have a pretty communal garden at the back where you can sunbathe in privacy. There are two double bedrooms, smartly dressed, and a cabin room for the younger generation or an extra space for watching TV. It’s a two-minute walk to Readymoney beach for a swim.

We have nothing but good things to say about our stay. We were nicely welcomed with fresh bread, butter, white wine and gin. The furnishings are very unusual and cosy, you immediately feel at home in these beautiful rooms. We could relax immediately. The -for Fowey not usual- car park in front of the door is just perfect. You have a wonderful view of the sea and the village of Polruan opposite. Whatever the weather, it's simply beautiful. The balcony invites you to chill out. The flat is equipped with all the necessary things, we didn't miss anything. Super apartment, super Fowey, we loved it!

An absolutely stunning apartment with breathtaking sea and harbour views. Beautifully furnished making the most of every inch of space, you will be quite happy to stay on the sublime terrace for hours watching the boats go by, but the charming town of Fowey is just a short, easy stroll away as is the beach. Great thought has been given to every piece of artwork and decor.

The neighbourhood

It's a five-minute level walk into town. Here you'll find a huge choice of excellent restaurants and cafés, beautiful independent boutiques and a French patisserie. Kittows has a good deli and the Quay Bakery is fab. Eat at Appletons and The Dwelling House, but book well in advance. There are many sandy beaches nearby, superb walks and watery activities.

Fowey is a historic coastal town in Cornwall with a fabulous deep estuary. Always plenty of boat activity to watch of all sizes from small dingy racing to The World or similar large Cruise ships coming and going.
The apartment is within a short stroll to the main local beach at Readymoney with a fabulous beach shop so easy to get up with your swimmers on for an early morning refreshing dip and back home for a shower!
Coastal walks abound in this fabulous location offering fantastic sea views and refreshing hostelries serving delicious local beers and food/fish.
Fowey benefits from an excellent range of restaurants and pubs offering an eclectic mix of food to suit a varied palate and those that enjoy high quality food and wine.
Marners Rock No 3 offers some of the best views in Fowey, so whatever the weather its so relaxing to sit in the "sun room" and watch the world go by from dawn until dusk! A cosy gas wood burner ensures the apartment is cosy all year round.
The apartment is designed and fitted to an aspirational level offering a unique and luxurious environment to truly relax and chill. The kitchen is fitted as though it was in my own home so is very well kitted out for any serious cooks.

Alison, an interior designer, manages the business with her partner Henry but it's a family affair as her brother James and his wife Sara are also co-owners. She lives nearby with her two friendly dachshunds and is usually on hand if you need anything.
