The Experience
Warm, cosy, and tucked away in a corner of St Ives – a tiny bolthole for two. At the bottom of a narrow, curved and cobbled (mostly pedestrian) street, made of lovely chunky granite with fresh white windows, this tiny one-up one-down is in the hub of town, strolling distance from absolutely everything. You walk straight into the sitting room with a super-comfy sofa, a rug on a limestone floor, a wood-burner in the original stone fireplace, and an immaculate kitchen to the side.
The bedroom is up narrow stairs: sturdy wood shelves for bedside tables, a wardrobe set into the stairwell, a white window seat beneath a Roman blind, local art on the walls and a sumptuous bedhead. Although small it is well designed and the bathroom has a bath and a waterfall shower.
A Cornish cream tea awaits in the owners’ café, there are DVDs, books and games for romantic nights in and it’s a short stumble to pubs, shops and restaurants.

A lovely little cottage for two people, in central St Ives. It is opposite the Barbara Hepworth museum and gardens, and so near to the shops restaurants and beaches. It as very clean and cared for and had a well equipped kitchen, comfy sofa and double bed. A spacious bathroom was another bonus. ,

This is a gem of a place from which to enjoy St Ives. It’s a short walk to the harbour, beaches and all the shops. It is so comfy as well as luxurious and very carefully appointed snd sympathetically decorated. There’s a log burner snd plenty of space for storing your foods and clothes. Bed is heavenly. I really can’t think of anything I’d change! It’s also only 3 steps away from Barbara Hepworth museum and there’s a free parking space too which is gold in St Ives

Location
The neighbourhood
Wander out to a wide range of shops, restaurants, bars and pubs. Further afield is The Gurnard's Head (renowned for its food) on the coast road towards Zennor. The Dog & Rabbit in St Just is a mecca for vegans and those seeking hearty, wholesome food. The South West Coast Path can be joined in either direction and, in summer, you can catch an open-top bus to Lands End.
Local points of interest from Ylenia Haase
- Cornish Cottage is a beautiful 17th century town centre stone cottage tucked away in a quiet cobbled street. It has the comforts of a luxury boutique hotel with the freedom to do as you please! It is reputed to be the oldest and smallest house in St Ives.
- There's a light and airy en suite bedroom with a super comfy double bed with luxurious 800 thread count Egyptian cotton bedding, an overstuffed feather padded window seat perfect for watching the world go by or spying on the seagulls over the rooftops.
- The en suite bathroom has a full sized bath with rain forest shower. Heated towel rail, natural limestone tiles and a window seat. There are complimentary triple milled Savon de Marseille soaps provided.
- Close the shutters and snuggle up in front of the aga wood burning stove on a wintery night or open the stable door onto the cobbled street to take in the summer breeze.
- There is a small library of classic novels and Cornish tales for our guests to read during their stay. We live and work just around the corner from the cottage so we're always on hand if you need us....
- Cosy dressing gowns and slippers are provided.

I was amazed by how peaceful and private this cottage feels despite the fact that it is situated right in the heart of a bustling and vibrant town. I would be very happy to cosy up here in the winter with the roaring log burner or visit in the summer and enjoy evening strolls to local bars and restaurants.
