The Experience

Gather friends or family and come for a dose of fresh sea air from this roomy townhouse close to a safe sandy beach for swimming, paddle boarding or sailing. Marazion has good pubs, cafés and restaurants – try The Godolphin overlooking the beach. Generous owners leave you a large hamper with mainly Cornish goodies – prosecco, a cream tea and chocolate. The kitchen will please proper cooks (the owner is a professional chef) and has prepping space and kit, along with a double oven.

Take a book to the fire-warmed sitting room, or watch a film if the weather is bad. On sunny days you’ll be out on the patio catching rays while gulls soar above and the only decision you might need to make is how long to sit there. Three bedrooms, one across the whole top floor, have well-dressed beds, pretty fabrics, soft robes.

Walk the causeway or take a ferry to the island castle, spend glorious days on the beaches, join coast and cycle paths from the door.

There is no parking on the road. You can drop off your stuff then make your way to your reserved parking space

What a wonderful holiday home this is! Perfect location, gorgeous interiors, super clean, and car parking nearby. The best we've stayed in! The house is really beautiful throughout, with stunning views of the sea and St.Michael’s Mount from the upper Master bedroom. It’s just a couple of minutes walk from the car park where you have a designated spot, and a couple of minutes more into Marazion, so is lovely and quiet away from the very busy centre of the town. Gorgeous raised seating area behind the house which is perfect for breakfast or after dinner drink with those amazing views again!

This is a beautiful house that feels cozy but spacious. There is lots of room for people to spread out and there is everything that you could possibly need. The owners really have thought of everything and are really happy to help guests out if they need anything.

Location

The neighbourhood

The town has quaint streets, Georgian merchants' houses and lovely old cottages from its tin mining days. There are several good restaurants just a short walk away and plenty of choice in Penzance, Newlyn and Mousehole. There are a couple of restaurants on St Michael's Mount which open in the summer months – a five-minute walk at low tide or a short boat ride at high tide.

The incredible island castle of St Michael's Mount is only a 5 minute walk away. Ferry boats operate when the tide is high, but at low tide follow the pilgrims causeway to visit the beautiful harbour, stunning gardens and historic castle.
The safe sandy beach is only 5 minutes away. Relax and enjoy or rent a Kayak or SUP to explore Mounts Bay.
Your host Paul has a gaff rigged sailing boat moored in St Michaels Mount Harbour - Weather and tide permitting Paul will be happy to take you sailing around the Mount and if we're lucky, perhaps see some dolphins and seals.
The world famous Minack open air theatre is only 8 miles away at Porthcurno. Take a picnic and enjoy a performance in the most spectacular setting imaginable.
There's no need to use your car - Theres a super bus service - including an open top tour bus - visiting lovely sites between Land's End, St Ives and the Lizard.
Whether you're green fingered or not, you'll be blown away by the gorgeous gardens like Trengwainton and Glendurgan. As well as stunning planting, there's often an adventure playground to explore, and at Trebah and Trelissick there's even a beach.

Paul and Alison moved to Cornwall in 2011, having spent most of their working lives in Lincolnshire and latterly the Falkland Islands where Paul was Chief Police Officer, but they always dreamed of running their own seaside B&B. In the summer months they rent out the whole house to guests.
