The Experience
This snug space perched above the sea overlooking St Michael’s Mount will delight you whatever the weather. Bag the sofa and watch the waves crash and the skies go dark in winter; eat breakfast or sip sundowners on the balcony in summer. Although the house is an extension to an adjoining property, it feels nicely private with its own access and long views out to sea.
The sociable kitchen is a joy to work in and you can pick up a haul of fresh fish from Quayside Fish in nearby Porthleven or Newlyn. There are plenty of places to eat out – for pub grub try The Fire Engine or The Godolphin – both are within walking distance.
Blustery walks start on the coastal path to Perranuthnoe beach or Praa Sands. Mooch around the art galleries, boutique shops and cosy pubs in town. The Minack Theatre and St Ives are 30 minutes by car in opposite directions.

I had a wonderful few days at Bosworgy Bay. I chose it for the spectacular sea view and was definitely not disappointed. I watched dawn break and dusk fall over St Michael’s Mount and the ever changing sea, sky and bird life had me entranced. It was beautifully furnished and had everything I needed for a very comfortable stay. It’s so good to have found somewhere in Cornwall that feels so ethical. I felt I was staying in a private, skillfully designed extension to a home that the owners still live in. I am so pleased they are generously sharing their amazing view and location with visitors.

I came with a simple intention – to write – and the house proved the perfect setting for a solo creative retreat. With its beautifully serene interior, and a view that is surely one of the most captivating in Cornwall, I had everything I needed. It’s an incredibly special place and I feel lucky to have found it. I came away from Bosworgy feeling inspired, invigorated, and with every intention of coming back. Thank you!

Beautiful view and comfortable place to stay. We really enjoyed our week. Great location to walk into Marazion and across to St Michael's Mount at low tide. We enjoyed costal walks and great location close to Penzance and Lizard too. It's a lovely place to stay which gets the afternoon sun, very cosy even when the weather was less good! Beautifully equipped for cooking and all the comforts with underfloor heating

Bosworgy Bay is absolutely wonderful - even though the photos make it look amazing, walking in you will be bowled over by the place! The view is stunning, you can sit for hours and just stare at it. But the house itself is picture perfect too - they have thought of everything to make it a relaxing, peaceful, soul restoring holiday. The decor is lovely - neutral, calm, exceptionally clean. It is well equipped, the bed is very comfortable and the whole house is incredibly quiet - we had the window open at night and fell asleep to the sound of waves crashing, absolutely marvellous.

What a delightful venue facing St Micheals Mount, truly the best we have ever stayed in. Truly a home from home, comfortable furniture, spotless well maintained property. Our bedroom had an excellent bed with good quality bedding, plenty of storage, nothing was damaged, warm and inviting. We had some cold wet days but the underfloor heating suited us well.... We would recommend this wonderful home from home to anyone wishing to have a comfortable accommodation in a quiet area with the large decking with chairs to view the area and sip a g&t in the sunset.

This was the perfect base from which to explore all the best places in beautiful West Cornwall - we walked for miles, visited hidden beaches, tiny villages, ancient village sites, National Trust properties and gardens and places with views. And every day we returned to sit on the balcony with the amazing view of the bay and St Michael's Mount, which we finally visited. Every was provided, even things we didn't realise that we needed. A perfect week.

What can you say about somewhere that has the best widescreen television in the world? The ever changing views of St Michael's Mount are absorbing and awesome and they are right on your windowsill - or balcony! Combined with the fact this is a beautifully presented one bedroom home from home - you really couldn't ask for more. While I am of the view that there are so many places in the world to visit - returning to one might not always be the best idea - this is one place I could happily return to every year.

We were blown away by the view which was amazing. The property has everything you need and the bottle of fizz was a welcome arrival gift. The bed was very comfy and the underfloor heating made the property warm and cosy. The propety was very clean. We would love to return as we don’t think we could tire of the view and we didn’t get the time to enjoy the local eateries which are within easy walking distance thanks to the great location.

Location
The neighbourhood
Marazion throngs with tourists in the summer but it’s pretty magical year round. Its beach is safe and sandy, St Michaels Mount is worth a visit (you can walk over at low tide) and there are heaps of independent shops to browse. Marazion Marsh Nature Reserve on the outskirts of town is home to a variety of wetland birds – bitterns and warblers, among others, migrate here every year.

Introducing
Alessandra Ausenda
The owners live about a mile away, are there to meet you and will be on hand if you need anything. They are both artists and partner Sean did all the work from design and building to carpentry, electrics and plumbing. The clever design means the high ceilings and huge windows let in the light while the open-plan arrangement makes it feel spacious. Ask about guided art tours – they may offer them in the future.
We had looked forward to our break at Bosworgy Bay and it didn’t disappoint – fabulous accommodation in a great location. We appreciated the attention to detail provided by the owners and we enjoyed the wonderful view from the property. We hope to return and would recommend this lovely place to anyone thinking of booking.
