The Experience
This chic B&B in the New Forest mixes a warm contemporary style with some fine, old-fashioned hospitality – Ciaran and Cheryl go out of their way to make your stay special. As for their lovely Arts & Crafts house, it sits peacefully on the southern fringes of Brockenhurst with pretty gardens front and back. There’s a juke box in the breakfast room, an honesty bar for pre-dinner drinks and a relaxing reading room. Spoiling bedrooms have airy colours, plantation shutters, Vi-Spring mattresses on lovely beds, then robes in stylish bathrooms. One has a claw-foot bath, another at the back opens onto the garden; keep going you’ll find a shepherd’s hut with its own wood-burner and a small terrace. All rooms have coffee machines, silent fridges in which to chill drinks, iPod docks and flat-screen TVs. Breakfast is a feast: local eggs, artisan jams, home-baked soda bread, bacon and sausages from a local farm. You can walk by the sea or explore the forest by foot, bike or horse. Good restaurants wait in town (a gentle ten-minute stroll), perhaps Thai, French or an excellent pizza.

Ciaran and Cheryl have created a lovely homely B&B with very comfortable rooms and made us feel very welcome. They provided lots of useful information and the breakfasts were excellent. Well positioned to explore the New Forest and close to the pubs and restaurants of Brockenhurst. We will be back which is the best recommendation we can make.

Cheryl and Ciaran run the most wonderful, peaceful and welcoming Bed and Breakfast. Outstanding accommodation, attention to the finest of details and fantastic breakfasts (and cupcakes!) and all within easy walking distance of pubs and restaurants and the facilities in Brockenhurst village. The ethos of the owners is practised by their staff and on our stay Natalie was a charming and efficient breakfast server. We would heartily recommend to others and we will definitely be returning.

We had such a lovely stay at Daisy Cottage which is very well placed for exploring the area. The accommodation is lovely, with the most comfortable bed I have slept in. Breakfasts were delicious and the restaurants and pubs of Brockenhurst were just down the road for other meals. Lovely to see New Forest ponies just strolling past the gate.
